About the Presenter

Chris has been a leadership educator for nearly 2 decades.  His experience crosses organizational cultures, from corporate and military training environments to the university classroom.

His company, Modeof8, strives to create a connective community of lifelong learners and fully engaged leaders, passionate about human capital.  His three-phased approach, which places emphasis on “immersive leadership education” through focused client relationships and professional coaching, is rapidly becoming the initiative of choice for organizations wishing to build or energize their leadership development culture.

More than half his career was spent in senior-level advisory and leadership capacities, as well as in classrooms and training institutions, where he prepared leaders at all levels for increased responsibility and effectiveness.  He holds a BS in Applied Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  In 2001, Chris was named Graduate Student of the Year for the College of Education.  Since then, he has completed several hours at the post-graduate level, with research interests focusing on the consideration of neurological and contextual underpinnings in leadership education.  On the military side, he is an in-resident graduate of all four levels of enlisted professional military education, including the executive-focused Chief’s Leadership Course, held at Air University in Montgomery, AL.

Most notably, he rose to the highest enlisted rank in the United States Air Force, Chief Master Sergeant…represented by less than 1% of the military.

An accomplished and sought after speaker, he brings a passion and intensity to his seminars, keynotes and coaching sessions that create a highly motivating and transformative atmosphere.
